The Administrative Council
The Administrative Council is the elected group responsible for the overall
functions of the church. Final approval of financial, procedural, and policy
matters is achieved at monthly meetings. Time required is approximately two
to three hours each month.
Nominations Committee
The Nominations Committee is elected from nominations from the floor of the
Charge Conference at its annual session. The committee is chaired by the Senior
Pastor and is responsible for nominating the officers and members of the Administrative
Council, next year's Charge Conference, and all committees and commissions
(except members of the Nominations Committee itself) necessary for the Church
to do its work. This committee usually starts meeting several times for a number
of weeks prior to the Charge Conference (usually held in the fall of the year).
After the Charge Conference, the committee meets as required to nominate persons
to fill vacancies in the other committees and commissions as they occur. Time
required is approximately six hours per week for about six weeks a year, plus
approximately six hours per vacancy as they occur.
Staff-Parish Relations Committee
Office Volunteer
Assist by answering phones and doing general office work. Three to four hours
a week.
Input Computer Data
Many records of the Church are automated. Learn to operate the various elements
of our data processing system. Each volunteer will be trained. Time varies
by assignment.
