Programs: Buildings & Grounds

Got a green thumb? Handy around the house? Wesley needs your help in planning for building improvements and maintaining our beautiful church grounds.

Father and son groundskeepers Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees members are the officers of the church in charge of the physical church property. Board activities range from facility and equipment maintenance, to church insurance policies, and facility use procedures. Time required is one meeting a month plus time to care or arrange care for the physical church property.

Parsonage Committee
The Parsonage Committee has the responsibility for seeing that the church parsonage is inspected and maintained by the church and the resident minister. In cooperation with the Board of Trustees, improvements, repairs, and alterations are proposed, planned, and executed. Time required includes an annual inspection and any follow-up needed.

Handyman Skills
Volunteers with skills in carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, equipment repair, air conditioning/heating, painting, etc. do repair, maintenance, and special projects associated with the physical plant of the church. Time varies by project and interest.

Groundskeepers
The Groundskeepers are volunteers charged with planning and maintaining the landscape aspects of the church property. Members help with the planting and care of flower beds and shrubbery on the church grounds and occasional general grounds care. Time varies by project and interest.

1st Saturday Maintenance
The first Saturday of each month, volunteers help with special clean-up activities, e.g., painting, washing windows, raking leaves, making minor repairs, cutting shrubs, and cleaning gutters. Time required is one to four hours once a month.
