Programs: Stewardship
When we joined Wesley, we promised to support the church with our prayers,
presence, gifts and service. The Stewardship ministry helps us put those words
into action.
Stewardship Commission Member
The Stewardship Commission is a nurturing ministry of the church. Members are
charged with promoting management of our lives, our time, our talents, and
our resources as keepers of the Household of God. Activities range from promoting
participation in the faith community to teaching about service and monetary
contributions to the church. Volunteers write brief articles for the Bulletin
and the Journal, and plan programs that encourage the Christian steward. Time
required is one meeting a month plus activity time.
Stewardship Education
A Stewardship Campaign is a program to teach the congregation about Christian
service and giving. Unlike a budgetary financial campaign, the emphasis is
on nurturing the principles of giving and service to the Body of Christ as
an aspect of being a faithful disciple. Participants develop and administer
the programs. Time varies by program.
