Adult Sunday School

Adult Sunday School meets each Sunday morning starting at 9:45 to 10:35.  For the summer, starting Memorial Day weekend, classes will be from 9:00 to 9:35.

The Seekers Class (Lounge – room 106) is dedicated to finding eternal truths from scriptures and making the Bible relevant in the world today. The International Lesson Bible Study is the text for the class. Activities include Bible study, dramatic readings, group exercises, and mission work for those in need. This class meets from September through June.

The Snoopy Adult Discussion Class (room 113) is currently studying the book “Where God Happens-Discovering Christ in One Another” by Rowan Williams, Archbishop of Canterbury. Starting July 11, the Snoopy Adult Discussion Class will be studying the book Detective Stories from the Bible, by J.E. Kalas. The Snoopy Class has been active for over 30 years at Wesley United Methodist Church. It is an adult Sunday school class that studies books covering a wide range of religious and philosophical subjects and how these subjects relate to our own lives and personal religion. The format is that one member of the class acts as discussion leader and normally presents a chapter of the book being studied and moderates class discussion. Any member of the class can offer to be a discussion leader, but this is not a requirement for class membership.

Common Ground Sunday School Class – The Common Ground Sunday School Class is beginning a “Casual Summer Session” using Wesley’s Bible emails as a discussion starting point. They will review the prayer list and thoughts for the day. Extra copies of the email will be available for those who don’t have a chance to read it during the week.
